The Law School Admission Test (LSAT) is a half-day standardized test administered 4 times each year (6 starting in 2018-2019) at designated testing centers throughout the world. Administered by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) for prospective law school candidates, the LSAT is designed to assess reading comprehension, logical, and verbal reasoning proficiencies.

Very few people achieve their full potential on the LSAT without some preparation.

All international LSAT administrations, Saturday Sabbath Observers LSAT administrations, and US, Canadian, and Caribbean February LSAT administrations are nondisclosed.

Nearly all American Bar Association (ABA)–approved law schools require the LSAT as one component of an admission file. While three law schools have recently announced that they will accept either the LSAT or the GRE for the 2017–2018 application cycle, candidates should take the LSAT unless they are applying only to a school or schools that will accept the GRE.
