The University of Milan is a public, multidisciplinary teaching and research institution that offers 8 Faculties, 2 Schools, 136 study courses, 31 Doctoral Programmes and 63 Specialisation Schools. Our 2000 professors represent the highest concentration of scientific expertise in the region and our research is ranked among the best in Italy and Europe.

In recent years, the range of courses has been expanded and diversified with the establishment of new study programmes, designed to meet the specific requirements of new social-economic contexts. Our University’s international relations sector is composed of the two major areas of Research and Training. This enables us to optimise relations with institutions, companies and foreign universities that are interested in establishing exchange and collaboration agreements.

The University of Milan’s interdisciplinary vocation results in a highly stimulating and rich offer of undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and specialization programmes, together with several vocationally-oriented courses, and a set of degree programmes taught in English. International students who want to apply to the University of Milan must – first of all - verify if their qualification meet the general requirements established by the Ministry of University and Research (MIUR) in accordance with the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
